Queenie’s accomplished track record as a Human Resources Executive spans over 30 years and across multiple critical sectors of the National Capital Region of the United States, including its health systems, universities, and administrative organizations. As a highly regarded leader in the industry, Queenie is known for her ability to design and implement dynamic HR strategies with penetrating foresight of shifting employment standards as they relate to an organization’s effectiveness and success. Her interpersonal skills serve as a basis for streamlined collaboration among C-suite members and their respective teams, ensuring that all cohesive efforts are rewarded through impactful and enduring HR initiatives.
Before founding QCP Consulting, an MBE Certified Business, Queenie served as Vice President of Human Resources for the National Capital Region of the Johns Hopkins Health System. As a senior HR executive at JHHS, she was responsible for the Sibley Memorial Hospital and Suburban Hospital’s HR programs, where her position as Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer put her in command of essential administrative functions that included Occupational Health, Safety and Security, Parking, and Telecommunications.
Queenie’s extensive career is not limited to an HR administrative capacity. Prestigious educational roles augment her experience as an authority on Human Resources in the public and private sectors. She currently serves on the Department of Health Policy and Management faculty at The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where she teaches Human Resources in the Master of Public Health Management Program. In the past, she served as an academic preceptor and executive mentor at the Georgetown University and Health Systems Administration Program and taught Human Resource Management to undergraduate students.
Queenie currently serves or has served on various boards and committees, including the District of Columbia Mayoral Appointee for the Workforce Investment Committee; Board of Visitors, College of Nursing & Allied Health Sciences for Howard University; The DC Hospital Association; Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington; Maryland Governor Appointee for the Community Services Rate Commission and the District of Columbia Chamber of Commerce.
During her education, Queenie received a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management from Washington Adventist University and a Master of Science in Applied Behavioral Science from The Johns Hopkins University. She currently resides in Bethesda, Maryland, where she enjoys spending time with her family and hiking, traveling, gardening, and doing yoga in her spare time.
